since my formative years, creativity has always been an essential part of who I am, it was everything I looked forward to. I’ve always found ways to express myself through drawing, painting, yarn art, and crocheting, bringing unexpected pieces to life that no one knew they needed. Creating and sharing my work brings a deep sense of freedom, release, and escape. Experimenting with different mediums to bring entirely new creations into existence is my favorite part of the process.

My work is heavily influenced by the whimsical Black woman and everything that makes her whole. My goal is to invite viewers to look closer at everyday, discarded objects and challenge traditional definitions of abstract painting. A vision I look forward to bringing to future exhibitions and curated displays.

I resonate with long, quiet days in the solitude of my home. Working with raw, physical materials allows me to move beyond traditional canvases. Using glue, I layer knitted or loose yarn, threads, fabrics, and beads to form sculptural art that highlights the permanence of materials we often overlook. To me, this is true sculptural relief. I cherish the hours spent in my studio stirring up ideas with these raw materials, driven by youthful exuberance and whimsical curiosity. Ultimately, I believe making art is essential and should be accessible to everyone, because creativity lives within us all.
